君子有三乐

君子有三乐，而王天下不与存焉。父母俱存，兄弟无故，一乐也；仰不愧于天，俯不祚于人，二乐也；得天下英才而教之，三乐也。君子有三乐，而王天下不与存焉。

一个有道德的人有三种乐趣。父母都健在，兄弟没灾患，是第一种乐趣；抬头对得起天，低头对得起人，是第二种乐趣；得到天下优秀的人才进行教育，是第三种乐趣。君子有三种乐趣，但是以德服天下并不在其中。

The virtuous person has three kinds of joys.  The first joy is that his parents are still in good health and his brothers suffer no calamities.  The second joy is that he has not led God down on the one hand, and on the other, he has treated people fairly.  The third joy is that he can have the outstanding people of the world to teach.  The virtuous person has three kinds of joys, but convincing the world by virtues is not among these.
