\n\t       An intergovernmental organization, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has 194 member nations, two associate members and one member organization, the European Union.  Its embployyes come from various cultural backgrounds and are experts in the multiple fields of activity the FAO engages in.  The FAO’s staff capacity allows it to support improved governance, generate, develop and adapt existing tools and guidelines and provide targeted governance support.  Headquartered in Rome, Italy, the FAO is present in over 130 countries.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t       \u7cae\u519c\u7ec4\u7ec7\u6700\u8fd1\u5173\u6ce8\u6cbb\u7406\u95ee\u9898\u662f\u57fa\u4e8e\u4ee5\u4e0b\u8ba4\u8bc6\uff1a\u5f71\u54cd\u7cae\u98df\u5b89\u5168\u548c\u8425\u4e1a\u3001\u751f\u8ba1\u3001\u81ea\u7136\u8d44\u6e90\u7ba1\u7406\u548c\u53ef\u6301\u7eed\u5229\u7528\u7b49\u4e0e\u53d1\u5c55\u6709\u5173\u7684\u5404\u9879\u5173\u952e\u8fdb\u7a0b\u6b63\u9762\u4e34\u65e5\u76ca\u590d\u6742\u7684\u6cbb\u7406\u6311\u6218\u3002\u66f4\u5e7f\u6cdb\u3001\u66f4\u7075\u6d3b\u4ee5\u53ca\u66f4\u6709\u80fd\u529b\u7684\u6cbb\u7406\u673a\u6784\u548c\u673a\u5236\uff0c\u5bf9\u4e8e\u63d0\u9ad8\u5404\u5229\u76ca\u76f8\u5173\u8005\u4e4b\u95f4\u7684\u6709\u6548\u534f\u8c03\u662f\u4e0d\u53ef\u6216\u7f3a\u7684\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u4f7f\u95ee\u9898\u6709\u6548\u89e3\u51b3\uff0c\u4fc3\u8fdb\u5b9e\u73b0\u591a\u91cd\u3001\u6709\u65f6\u4e92\u76f8\u51b2\u7a81\u7684\u76ee\u6807\u3002<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t       The FAO’s new focus on governance is driven by the recognition that critical development-related processes affecting food security and nutrition, livelihoods, and the management and sustainable use of natural resources confront increasingly complex governance challenges.  Broader, more flexible, and more capable governance institutions and mechanisms are indispination among diverse stakeholders, and for prblem-solving while working toward theachievement of multiple, and sometimes conflicting, objectives.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n
