\n\t       The past over-30 years of reform and opening up have brought about tremendous changes in China. From 1979 to 2004, on annual average, the Chinese economy grew by 9.4 percent, consumption by 7 percent, and imports and exports by 16.7 percent. In 2004, the country’s GDP topped US <\/span>$<\/span> 1.6494 trillion. Total import and export volume reached <\/span>$ 1.1548 trillion. We have basically established a socialist market economy. Our productivity and overal national strength are constantly growing, various social undertakings are flourishing and the historic leap in the people’s livelihood from a subsistence level to moderate prosperity is realized on the whole.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t       \u540c\u65f6\uff0c\u4e2d\u56fd\u4eba\u53e3\u591a\u3001\u5e95\u5b50\u8584\uff0c\u53d1\u5c55\u5f88\u4e0d\u5e73\u8861\uff0c\u4eba\u53e3\u8d44\u6e90\u73af\u5883\u538b\u529b\u65e5\u76ca\u7a81\u51fa\uff0c\u5728\u524d\u8fdb\u7684\u5f81\u9014\u4e0a\u4ecd\u9762\u4e34\u8fd9\u5f88\u591a\u56f0\u96be\u548c\u6311\u6218\u3002\u4e2d\u56fd\u56fd\u5185\u751f\u4ea7\u603b\u503c\u603b\u91cf\u867d\u7136\u4e0d\u5c0f\uff0c\u4f46\u4eba\u5747\u56fd\u5185\u751f\u4ea7\u603b\u503c\u4ecd\u6392\u5728\u4e16\u754c100\u4f4d\u4e4b\u540e\uff0c\u5c24\u5176\u662f\u8fd8\u6709\u8fd12600\u4e07\u519c\u6751\u8d2b\u56f0\u4eba\u53e3\u548c2200\u591a\u4e07\u9886\u53d6\u6700\u4f4e\u751f\u6d3b\u4fdd\u969c\u91d1\u7684\u57ce\u9547\u8d2b\u56f0\u4eba\u53e3\u3002\u4e2d\u56fd\u8981\u5b9e\u73b0\u73b0\u4ee3\u5316\uff0c\u8fd8\u9700\u8981\u957f\u671f\u8270\u82e6\u594b\u6597\u3002<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t       However, China still faces many problems and challenges on the road ahead posed by a large population, a weak economic foundation and uneven development, a<\/span>s well as the mounting pressure arising from population, resources and the environment. Despite the huge amout of its GDP, the country still trails behind the 100th in the world in terms of per-capita GDP. In particular, there are about 26 million rural residents in poverty and 22 million urban residents still living on minimum subsistence allowances. It still calls for long-term painstaking efforts before China achieves modernization. <\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t       \u5728\u7ecf\u6d4e\u5168\u7403\u5316\u8d8b\u52bf\u6df1\u5165\u53d1\u5c55\u7684\u65b0\u5f62\u52bf\u4e0b\uff0c\u5982\u4f55\u7acb\u8db3\u4e2d\u56fd\u7684\u5b9e\u9645\uff0c\u6293\u4f4f\u673a\u9047\uff0c\u5e94\u5bf9\u6311\u6218\uff0c\u7ee7\u7eed\u5b9e\u73b0\u7ecf\u6d4e\u793e\u4f1a\u6301\u7eed\u3001\u5feb\u901f\u3001\u534f\u8c03\u3001\u5065\u5eb7\u53d1\u5c55\uff0c\u662f\u6211\u4eec\u9ad8\u5ea6\u91cd\u89c6\u7684\u91cd\u5927\u6218\u7565\u95ee\u9898\u3002\u7ecf\u8fc7\u591a\u5e74\u63a2\u7d22\u548c\u5b9e\u8df5\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u5df2\u7ecf\u627e\u5230\u4e86\u4e00\u6761\u7b26\u5408\u81ea\u5df1\u56fd\u60c5\u3001\u987a\u5e94\u65f6\u4ee3\u6f6e\u6d41\u3001\u4f53\u73b0\u4eba\u6c11\u610f\u613f\u7684\u53d1\u5c55\u9053\u8def\uff0c\u8fd9\u5c31\u662f\u4e2d\u56fd\u7279\u8272\u793e\u4f1a\u4e3b\u4e49\u9053\u8def\u3002\u4eca\u540e\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u5c06\u575a\u5b9a\u4e0d\u79fb\u5730\u6cbf\u7740\u8fd9\u6761\u9053\u8def\u9614\u6b65\u524d\u8fdb\u3002<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t       Under the new circumstances of accelerated economic globalization, a major strategic issue demanding our close attention is how to maintain sustained, rapid, coordinated and sound economic and social development by adapting to China’s reality, seizing opportunities and coping with challenges. After years of exploration and practice, we have found a path to development that conforms to our country’s reality and the trend of our times and reflects the wishes of the people. This is the road of building socialism with Chinese characteristics. We will stride forward unswervingly along this road.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n
