It proves once again that some U.S. politicians have become \u201ctroublemakers\u201d of China-U.S. relations, and that the United States has become the \u201cbiggest destroyer\u201d of peace across the Taiwan Strait and for regional stability.<\/p>\n

No matter how the United States supports or connives at the \u201cTaiwan independence\u201d forces, it will be all in vain. The United States will only leave more ugly records of gross meddling in other countries\u2019 internal affairs in history. The Taiwan question arose when the country was weak and chaotic at the time, and will surely end with national rejuvenation.<\/p>\n

The United States should not fantasize about undermining China\u2019s development and revitalization. China has found a correct development path in line with its own national conditions. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, 1.4 billion Chinese people are striding towards the Chinese-style modernization.<\/p>\n
We put the development of our country and nation on the basis of our own strength, and are willing to coexist peacefully and develop together with other countries. But we will never allow any country to undermine China\u2019s stability and development.<\/p>\n
Provoking trouble on the Taiwan question in an attempt to delay China\u2019s development and undermine China\u2019s peaceful rise will be totally futile and will surely lead to total failure.<\/p>\n

The introduction of the Taiwan question into the regional strategy by the United States, which inflates tensions and stokes confrontation, is against the trend of regional development and goes against the expectations of the people in the Asia-Pacific. This is very dangerous and stupid.<\/p>\n
The one-China principle has become a basic norm governing international relations and an integral part of the post-Second World War international order.<\/p>\n
What the United States should do is to immediately stop violating the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and stop playing the \u201cTaiwan card\u201d to disrupt the Asia-Pacific region.<\/p>\n

The United States should not fantasize about distorting facts at will. The U.S. side claimed that China is escalating the situation, but the basic facts are that the United States first provoked China on the Taiwan question and blatantly violated China\u2019s sovereignty and territorial integrity.<\/p>\n
The U.S. side claimed that there was a precedent of the U.S. House speaker visiting Taiwan. Yet the basic truth is that past mistakes cannot be used as an excuse to repeat them today.<\/p>\n
The U.S. side claimed that it cannot restrain the Congress due to the separation of powers. But the basic norm of international law is that the United States must fulfill its international obligations, and key politicians should not misbehave.<\/p>\n
It also claimed that China\u2019s pursuit of reunification is a \u201cthreat\u201d to Taiwan, but the basic logic is that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China\u2019s territory and the Taiwan question is purely an internal affair of China. It is lawful and justified that China upholds territorial integrity and opposes secession.<\/p>\n
\u6211\u8981\u5f3a\u8c03\uff0c\u53f0\u6d77\u548c\u5e73\u7a33\u5b9a\u7684\u5b9a\u6d77\u795e\u9488\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u4e2d\u56fd\u539f\u5219\uff0c\u4e2d\u7f8e\u548c\u5e73\u5171\u5904\u7684\u771f\u6b63\u201c\u62a4\u680f\u201d\u662f\u4e09\u4e2a\u8054\u5408\u516c\u62a5\u3002\u201c\u501a\u7f8e\u8c0b\u72ec\u201d\u6b7b\u8def\u4e00\u6761\uff0c\u201c\u4ee5\u53f0\u5236\u534e\u201d\u6ce8\u5b9a\u5931\u8d25\u3002\u9762\u5bf9\u56fd\u5bb6\u7edf\u4e00\u7684\u6c11\u65cf\u5927\u4e49\uff0c\u4e2d\u56fd\u4eba\u6709\u4e0d\u4fe1\u90aa\u3001\u4e0d\u6015\u9b3c\u7684\u9aa8\u6c14\uff0c\u6709\u5413\u4e0d\u5012\u3001\u538b\u4e0d\u57ae\u7684\u5fd7\u6c14\uff0c\u6709\u4e07\u4f17\u4e00\u5fc3\u3001\u4f17\u5fd7\u6210\u57ce\u7684\u51b3\u5fc3\uff0c\u66f4\u6709\u575a\u51b3\u634d\u536b\u56fd\u5bb6\u4e3b\u6743\u3001\u6c11\u65cf\u5c0a\u4e25\u7684\u80fd\u529b\u3002<\/p>\n
I want to stress that the one-China principle is the key stabilizing force for peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait, and the three China-U.S. joint communiques are the real \u201cguardrails\u201d for peaceful coexistence between China and the United States.<\/p>\n
Clinging to the United States to seek \u201cindependence\u201d is a dead end, and attempts to use the Taiwan question to contain China are doomed to failure.<\/p>\n
In the face of the great cause of national unification, the Chinese people have the gut not to be misled by fallacies or scared by evils, the ambition to never be intimidated or crushed, the determination to unite as one, and the ability to resolutely safeguard national sovereignty and national dignity.<\/p>\n
