Voluntary blood donors come from all walks of life, but they have one thing in common: they give of themselves to others \u2013 people they don\u2019t even know.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Blood donations are the lifeline in emergencies, disasters, humanitarian crisis and for people who need regular transfusions. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, blood donors have continued to give. In so doing, they have provided an essential service to their communities and a safeguard for patients and health systems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">And yet, around the world, many communities do not have access to safe blood. Women and children are the most at risk. So, please give blood if you can, and give regularly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:14px;\">And to the millions of blood donors around the world, thank you.
